The recently opened Fondazione Bisazza in Milan is an exhibition space dedicated to work by contemporary designers and architects who’ve created applications for mosaics over the last 20 years. In addition, the foundation continuously interacts with various institutions to host exhibits not necessarily associated with mosaics.

Furniture in foam
Dutch designer Maarten de Ceulaer’s latest Mutation series, unveiled at Milan’s Salone del Mobile, features chairs and sofas made from various sized foam spheres coated with a durable rubber finish. The pieces are as an experimental update of classic furniture upholstery.

Light Tray is the second product in released by Norwegian designers Daniel Rynakken and Andreas Engesvik. The limited-edition piece consists of a freestanding tray and hand-blown tinted glass domes and is available in a variety of color combinations.

Tunisia in a bite
Tunis’ famed La Closerie restaurant just received a welcome facelift courtesy of designer Cyril Durand-Béhar and architect Imene Behira. The new space, featuring sleek concrete flooring, a large wooden deck surrounded by lush greenery and pools, has evolved into a beautifully modern urban venue.
